Family Brands LLC traces its roots back to 1965 when the Baltz Brothers of Nashville and the Wampler family of Lenoir City created a meat production company under the joint venture, Elm Hill Meats. In 1991, the Elm Hill Meats entity in Lenoir City reached an agreement with the Baltz family to take full ownership of the company and the brands within its portfolio.
As the business developed and more brand acquisitions took place, the decision was made to change the name of the company to Family Brands. The new name reflected the company’s diversification to newer meat categories in the market and also accurately depicted the family environment cultivated among employees within the plant.
In 2017, a fire destroyed the main plant in Lenoir City. Rising from the ashes was a state-of-the-art facility. The new plant brings unwavering enthusiasm for providing high-quality products to customers all over the country. As a result, sales and satisfaction are at an all time high, and we strive to get better and better each and every day.
